Posted on: 2019-08-15 Event Date: 2019-08-15 Posted by: admin Attachments: DownloadCome rain or storm, 15th August, is the day to celebrate, this was truly expressed by the students and staff of S. M. Batha High School, Panchgani as they gathered round the flagpost on this auspicious day.
They proved that 72 years has not dimmed the fervour and love of its citizens for this great nation. The last 10 days were marked with incessant rain, stromy winds and flooding of the Krishna river. Still putting aside all the hardships or rather overcoming them with the grit similar to that shown by our forefathers, the students an d staff stood tall an proud while our Indian tricolour was hoisted by the Vice Principal.
Rain was not a deterent as the National Athem and Flag songs were sung at attention.
Students then moved to Hira Hall and gave inspiring speeches in all three different langiuages, English, Hindi and Marathi with the same underlying theme of Equality, Brotherhood and progress. Truly the young generation is ready to take on whatever challenges globalization has to present.
The festivities ended with sweets for all and chants of Jai Hind.
