Farewell SSC Batch 2019

‘Fare Thee Well’ ..... three words spoken once again as we, the Management, Teachers and Students of S. M. Batha High School bid adieu to the SSC Batch of March 2019.
The students had a hectic couple of months preparing for the first stepping stone of their academic lives, the Secondary State Certificate Examinations.
On 22nd March, 2019 they attempted their Geography paper which marked the end of their school life. The Management very kindly hosted a party to wish them well as they sally forth into the world.
We began with floral tribute to our founders, Mr. Shiavaxsha Batha and Mrs. Hirabai Batha without whom this school would not exist. A small thank you and a big promise to carry forth their philanthropy.
Next was a bittersweet welcome by the students of Std. IX reminding Std. X that this was the last time that they stand in this Hira Hall as students.
The traditional Miss Batha and Master Batha Contests were held with a lot of competition and good natured fun in the question-answer round. Miss Aditi won the Miss Batha 2019 crown and Master Aditya, the Master Batha 2019 crown winning over everyone with his refusal to even consider migration to another country as India is the best.
Dance performance by students of Std. IX, games for students and teachers alongwith great music was enjoyed by all. Dancing session turned nostalgic as framed photographs of SSC Batch 2019 and their teachers were presented to each student by the teachers whom they represented on Teacher’s Day on 5th September, 2018.
The mood turned further nostalgic with lots of watery eyes as Saad, Smit and Aditya thanked everyone, the Mangement, the Teachers and support staff for the wonderful days they and their friends have spent in school. They asked forgiveness for their trespasses and blessings for their future which all the teachers whole-heartedly gave.
Dinner was served, last hugs were given as our hand-holding babies left the school as independent, free thinking individuals capable of wise decisions to take their place as productive future citizens of this country.
